Kcentv : WACO, Texas — Waco residents got a first taste of the future on Aug. 4 as Amazon showcased its newest program, Prime Air, to the public. The program utilizes drones to facilitate quick and easy deliveries for those who find themselves in a time-sensitive situation.
“It’s five pounds or less, it’s going to be your smaller everyday items that we see, but we can also deliver things like AirTags, AirPods and other Apple products,” Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly said.

Kelly says the original drone’s noise was a concern for people, and through the community’s feedback, Amazon made some changes.
“That’s why we do events like this,” Kelly said. “This isn’t a one-off. We continue to stay engaged in the community, getting feedback, and then we take that feedback and integrate it into the Prime Air program itself. So we’ve continued to evolve, continued to improve things so that customers, residents and people living in the area are happy with the services we are providing. You mentioned the noise. The new drone, the MK30, we haven’t had any noise issues since unveiling that.”
